Bulletproof Tea Recipe: How to Make Butter in Tea

bulletproof teaFor whatever reason, you may not be a keen coffee drinker or just don’t like drinking coffee. If you prefer to drink a cup of tea you can make that a cup of Bulletproof® Tea. You follow nearly the same steps used in the Bulletproof® coffee recipe in the Bulletproof® tea recipe. Instead of using coffee beans you just ideally use cacao tea.

Brewing a cup of tea is a great alternative option to having coffee. Remember that, the concept of Bulletproof® Coffee was created from the tradition of making yak butter tea in the Himalayan mountains. So the traditional origins of putting butter into tea is historically older than doing so with coffee.


Below you will find the step by step instructions for making a hot or iced version of the tea along with the recommended amount of ingredients to use when making a cup for 1 person.

Bulletproof Tea Recipe Steps

  1. Brew cacao tea, or green tea, as normal in a tea pot.
  2. Add 1 teaspoon (5ml) of Brain Octane Oil to every 8oz. (237ml) of tea.
  3. Add 1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) unsalted, grass-fed butter.
  4. Mix all ingredients into a blender & blend on high speed for 20-30 seconds – until it is frothy on top.
  5. Pour it out, drink & enjoy your cup of tea.

Recommended Tip: Try gradually increase the amount of Brain Octane or MCT oil added each day, as desired, to reach max of 1-2 tablespoons (15-30ml) per cup.

Irlen Syndrome: Why Dave Asprey Wears Orange Glasses
